Read more...metcalfe’s law “states that the value of a telecommunications network is proportional to the square of the number of connected users of the system (n^2)” (wiki). when i first heard about this law on some blog post curtis wrote, it made intuitive sense to me. later, when looked up the official definition, the image below clarified what my intuition told me.

Read more...i’ve been in conversation with friends for a long time about why the right and left (on the political spectrum) seem to function so differently. of particular interest is how the left seems to be so bad at fomenting beneficial change for all while the right seems to be so good at creating change that’s good for the wealthy.
